Excerpt from December 9th 2025 newsletter:
Dear SunBeing,
There is so much to share this time! We say farewell to Carina, hello to Owen; share a new SunBeings video; a blog entry from An Pintelon, four business additions, and a fundraiser for Kate & Owen as they find a new life.
Big changes at SunBeings part 1 – A Goodbye from Carina:
“Kate and I have released a new video which is part of the ‘About this website’ page, and goes deeper into what Sun Beings is and how to engage with the platform and community. We would like to invite you to read the ‘About’ page, as it answers more questions about how Kate and I have worked, what we stand for and why we started this project (3+ years ago).
Things are changing very quickly for many of us, and during the last few days it has become clear that I need to turn away from Sun Beings, and towards new adventures which deal with the world situation in different ways. I will withdraw myself from the work on the platform which of course still stands as a resource and model that you are most welcome to use. I am very happy that Kate has decided to keep the project going and curious to see how changes will unfold.
We have still added to SunBeings in November. An Pintelon is sharing a lovely new story about engaging with home-grown food, and on the pioneer platform we have added a very beautiful organic plant and garden nursery in the Netherlands, a film project about the preservation of honeybees, an incredible, and very authentic Moroccan craft business, and a fascinating fairtrade, social impact jewelry brand in the Netherlands that works with artisans in Nepal and India. As always, all links are below.
I am still on the Outer Hebrides with Callanish Alpacas, and very happy to be surrounded by all the animals here at the croft, and by Highland cattle and several stone circles very close by. You can see some pictures below. Beyond that, sunny doors to new collaborations have already opened – exciting.
It’s been a pleasure to work with Kate. I have no clue about website design, or video editing, and could not have done alone what we have achieved together. We will remain part of each others life journeys, and also always be connected through the beautiful memories of building and running a pioneer platform.”
Part 2 – A hello from Kate & Owen:
SunBeings would not exist without Carina. We are all so thankful for all her dedication to creating this platform that inspires many people including us.
Kate would like to acknowledge the time, energy and skills Carina has put into SunBeings and how she has helped build a foundation for a community to grow. How they complemented each other in many ways in their energy and skills to bring this platform to life. For the friendship they have and the support of one another.
We are excited for Carina’s next steps and what adventures she will encounter! Send her your best wishes here: carina.song@protonmail.com
This will not be the end of SunBeings. Kate has worked very hard for many years as the Designer, and now we shall be taking SunBeings further.
Our highest priority is community: that’s all of you. Our vision is to strengthen the community foundation of SunBeings, so that everyone has an independent place to connect, flourish and exchange their skills.
For now, there will be a pause on the global businesses whilst Kate finds her feet. If you need to contact us the new email to reach us on is: katepriestley@protonmail.com
In the meantime, we extend a warm welcome to Owen, Kate’s partner. Owen will take on some admin and writing duties to help SunBeings through this new phase and lighten the workload on Kate.
We have also set up a fundraiser for ourselves due to living in difficult circumstances and need some help for a way out. It really would help us greatly which would also enable us to pour, from a fuller cup, more energy into this platform. See more about the fundraiser below.
We believe in SunBeings and we wish to see it grow. Watch this space!

I found you guys not a long time ago through the Oracle Girl and I would love to follow you. I am also intrigued by the Anastasia of the Ringing Cedars movement and wonder what your view of that is.
Sincerely,
Teresa Noble
Will email you 🙂
