What can I offer?

Whatever your heart desires. You can be a business offering services, a shop selling physical or digital products, a creative just expressing oneself or selling their creations, a blogger, a house sitter, a hobbyist, someone with a project or initiative, a platform, someone hosting groups, someone who simply wants to offer their support to others in these times, or someone who just wants to tell the community who they are because they want to connect 🙂

Does what I offer fit in with SunBeings?

We are aiming to consciously choose better for this planet and be part of the solution. None of us are perfect but can act in the best integrity possible to ourselves and our surroundings. We want to be inclusive but do ask that people check in with what they are offering and their intentions. To get a clearer idea what SunBeings is striving for refer to this About page and Our Values page.

How much should I write for my profile?

Keep it simple, but not too simple ideally as you want people to connect with and get an idea of you. You can write in more detail, just be mindful of how clear your text is and how much people can read.

No need to overthink it – just be your beautiful self.

Remember not every box needs to be filled in as it may not be relevant to you.

Do I need a website or social media profile?

No — Websites and social media are optional. Especially when one cannot afford websites, are tech challenged, dislike social media or simply have no need for one. We know not everyone has one yet still may have something to offer. In this case, share your contact details so you can be reached.

What if I’m just starting out?

You are welcome to join! That is what this platform is for. To give you a boost and get you shining 🙂

I see my website has been transferred from Global Businesses but would like to update my profile details…

SunBeings has undergone some changes and there is a bit of a catch up. SunBeings Local is one of the newer additions on the platform. If you see you have been transferred over but would like to edit your profile, just fill the form, stating this is for your existing profile that’s to be changed.

I see my website is on Global Business but not on SunBeings Local…

If you see that your business is on the Global Businesses but not on the SunBeings Local profiles, and you would like to be part of the network, then contact us here and we can transfer you over. Or fill in the form stating you would like to be transferred over along with the new profile details.

Does my personal name have to show or come first or can I prioritise my business name?

You are free to choose. You can state your preference in the fields you write in.

If I’ve already submitted my profile but want to edit the details at a later stage then can I?

Yes! Simply send us a message on this contact page with the updates and we’ll alter them for you.

What do we not accept?

After long experience, we have chosen not to allow:

• Practices with shamanic psychedelic plant medicines;
• Abusive, manipulative or controlling behaviours in their service or practice;
• Products or services generated by AI – especially AI creativity. 
  (We can consider services that use AI very minimally and consciously, such as in a website support chat, or in a necessary supportive role to your organic human services, such as search functions, or accessibility tools. Creative technology such as filters, synthesisers etc, can be considered as long as there is sufficient human input for it to be an obviously human non-AI creation. AI media generated by a human prompt does not meet our criteria.) 
  We understand that AI is a diverse tool with many uses and potential positive aspects. But its impact on human creativity, agency and confidence is serious, not to mention its data-collection and alignment issues – or who is in control of the AI engine you are using. Our values at SunBeings are to celebrate your natural gifts and agency. We also want to strengthen human networks, and not encourage AI-dependent ones, or encourage people themselves to become dependent on AI;
• No politico-spiritual agendas – except for grass-roots activism from your own self or community;
• No extreme new age or religious dissociative teachings or practises (we ask that you are facing life & this dimension in its entirety, and not trying to escape from it);
• No products or services associated with synthetic green agendas, green washing or ethics not truly following nature’s principles (refer to what is real ethics here);
• No services or practises that use channelling or communication with spirits, entities or other non-physical beings. We only wish to support the use of your own body-wisdom and intuition, without external dependencies;
• No get-rich-quick schemes or products/services that unnecessarily charge high figures easily putting people into debt;
• Finally, if you are offering a product or platform that is a startup, please label it as one, or put ‘in development’. 

I’ve submitted my profile… what next?

Great! We are excited to have you as part of the network. But it doesn’t have to stop there! You can more actively be part of SunBeings. We have the blog section where you can share a post talking about your work or experiences or interact with other peoples’ posts. And a share a story section. There is the events page if you want to share an event or a regular group you are hosting. You can subscribe to our newsletter and keep up to date with the changes and what’s brewing on this platform. Sometimes we might have business/project hotspots on our newsletters to give help people a boost and make sure they’re not forgotten.
